Schenck Forest
Scheck Forest is an teaching and research forest operated by North Carolina State University. The forest is open to the public from sunrise to sunset. There are numerous research projects ongoing so it is CRITICAL THAT YOU STAY ON THE MARKED PATHS. A careless step may wipe out years of research and data collection. Furthermore, NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED on Schenck Forest property (This includes the Richland Creek Greenway)
Directions:
Schenck Forest is located off Reedy Creek Road. From Edwards Mill Road go WEST on Reedy Creek Road. Look for a gravel road on the left. Follow this road for 500 feet to a gate on the RIGHT.

Marked Trails
Richlands Creek Greenway: City of Raleigh Greenway corridor traverses Schenck Forest along Richlands Creek. The trail enters via a 800 foot tunnel under Wade Avenue and exits the forest at Reedy Creek Road.
